HOW THEY MET

New York Giants Fan falls for Philadelphia Eagles Fan

Gabrielle and Michael first met in 2012 in South Jersey where he was running a business. Three years later , they found themselves on the same journey seeking a business opportunity in the dreamy state of California. They both took their chances and moved across the country. After spending a lot of time together, they started to realize how similar they were, and their feelings and bond began to grow deeper every day. Their first official date was at an intimate restaurant on Main Street in Pleasanton, California-a quaint suburb of the Bay Area. On March 15th, 2015, Gabrielle and Michael went on a Saint Patrick's Day bar crawl in San Francisco (bar crawls are something they love to do together ). They found themselves at the last bar when Michael leaned over, spilled his jello shot on Gabrielle, looked up, gleamed, and proceeded to ask her to be his girlfriend, in which she said, “YES” — A few days later, they decided to move to the city of Los Angeles and build their lives together, and the rest was history. To this day, they continue their yearly tradition of celebrating St. Patrick's day every year together.

P.S. Mike was the first one to say; I LOVE YOU!

THE PROPOSAL

AN UNEXPECTED SURPRISE

Through the years, the couple has traveled the world together. With their on-the-go lifestyle, airports are second nature. Acquiring many stamps on their passport, they were still missing one. A city in which Gabrielle always expressed interest in exploring and dreamed of getting engaged there. (Who wouldn’t?). She was captivated by the enchanting city of Paris.

2019 was an incredible year for the couple. Gabrielle and Mike welcomed King Kai into their family (their fur baby, a Shiba Inu). A few months later, they moved to their dream home. The only thing missing was a RING!!! Mike loves to treat Gabrielle like a princess. Every year to celebrate their anniversary, they jet set to a new destination. This year Mike told Gabrielle they would be going to Belize. He assured her everything was already planned, including one of her best friends to take care of their new puppy. Gabrielle was giving Mike a hard time leaving their new puppy at home, but eventually, she gave in. She proceeded to pack her suitcase full of bathing suits and warm-weather clothing. Little did Gabrielle know she wouldn’t need any of them. The morning of their trip, she ran behind schedule and stressed about leaving King Kai. They finally headed to LAX. Once they arrived, Mike asked Gabrielle to check in with the confirmation code to print their boarding passes. With a little bit of sassiness and maybe some attitude, Gabrielle finally did it. Upon checking in, there was an error message on the screen — She turned around to tell Mike, who then swung his arm back, assured her the code was correct and asked her to try again. Gabrielle entered the confirmation code into the kiosk; to her surprise, the screen displayed first-class tickets to Paris! She immediately turned around to find Mike down on one knee in the middle of LAX, nervously smiling. With loving and kind words, he finally asked her,” Will you marry me?” — Still in shock, Gabrielle’s first words were: “Is that real?” followed by “Did you ask my dad?” — And then, finally, a hard YES!!

Gabrielle was speechless when she saw the ring! Mike had a custom one-of-a-kind dream ring created by her favorite designer, Tacori. As if everything wasn’t already perfect, the couple turned around to clapping staff who captured pictures of their magical moment. Gabrielle and Mike then proceeded to the Champagne bar together to celebrate the engagement and to share the news with their families and friends. A couple of hours later, the newly engaged couple embarked on their first-class flight via Air France to Paris. They spent the next two weeks in awe, celebrating their anniversary, their engagement, and the beginning of forever and always.
